Job Description: React.js Developer – Permanent
This is no ordinary software development role. Our product is now in its fourth generation and has gained significant traction in the market over the last few years, with large customers across the UK and internationally using our no-code software platform for key projects.
You have the opportunity to join our fast-paced team and make a contribution to the next generation of our software at a key time, working alongside our existing development team and reporting to our Head of Product Development.
Although we are not seeking a given number of years’ experience in any particular field, you should be able to articulate and demonstrate or reference examples of projects you have worked on, evidencing hands-on experience of the core technologies we use.
Challenged with working on large and innovative product development, the primary focus will be on front end development but covering broader aspects from UX design to back end services, depending on your skillset, aspirations and overall project needs.
You should have the passion, experience and confidence to contribute to research and development within the company to ensure we keep right on top of emerging development techniques and technologies. You should also be committed to best practice, have an appetite for innovation and pushing technical boundaries, and excellent communication skills.
Key Skills
Successful candidates will have demonstrable non-trivial skills and experience in the following:
- React.js and Node.js
- Strong front end and UI development skills including HTML & CSS
- JavaScript: ES6 and Typescript
- Some experience of working with SQL databases

- UX design and basic graphic design skills
- Cypress testing
- C#, .Net, IIS, SQL Server
- Redux, Redux-saga
- Xamarin mobile application development
- Cloud-based deployment environments including MS Azure and Docker
- Npm and yarn package management
- Git

Location
Initially, this role is likely to be home-based, supported by regular remote contact through MS Teams and remotely shared coding and planning sessions. In the longer term, you will be based in our modern head office on Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham as soon as we judge that it is appropriate to bring the team back together.
